What is MachouRelax®?

MachouRelax® is a relaxation mouthpiece for adults. It consists of a tongue rest and a smooth surface, and places the teeth end-to-end.
Made from medical  silicone and coloring, it is manufactured in France.

What is it used for?

MachouRelax® is indicated for :

• reduce snoring and sleep apnea
• protect teeth from night-time grinding (bruxism) and reduce cervical tension
• helps re-educate the tongue and swallowing
• starter and finisher for orthodontic treatment

How does it work?

How does MachouRelax® help snoring?

Snoring is often caused by a low position of the tongue, which obstructs the upper airway and leads to sleep apnea.
MachouRelax® is a mandibular advancement orthosis in which the lower and upper teeth are positioned face to face in the same groove, clearing the throat. The tongue rests on the bead at the front of the MachouRelax®, keeping it in an elevated position.
Night after night, MachouRelax® re-educates the tongue with the tip on the palate. At the same time, MachouRelax® prevents mouth breathing and encourages nasal breathing: this is recommended for better recovery of the organism.

Will MachouRelax® align my teeth?

Thanks to its standard shape and buccal plane, MachouRelax® helps your teeth to balance by protecting them from the forward thrust of your tongue. The tongue will be re-educated into a higher position. With each swallow, the tongue spreads out in contact with the molars, helping to expand the palate.
The smooth surface of MachouRelax® allows your teeth to move, a process known as natural tooth alignment.

How can I protect my teeth from grinding?

Teeth grinding often becomes pathological, leading to headaches, dental pain, tooth loss or fracture, damaged gums and neck pain. MachouRelax® is a double mouthpiece that prevents antagonistic teeth from touching. It’s made of medical silicone (biocompatible) with a hardness of 50 shores to protect teeth.
If you usually grind or clench your teeth at night, MachouRelax® will absorb shocks gently and painlessly, relieving tension.
